Rummuser,
I use the term "creative tension" a lot too, but I also find it useful to think of stress as energy produced by our body...to be used as we choose. Some people don't think of themselves as creative so "creative tension" doesn't resonate with them.

bikehikebabe,
For me it depends upon what the issue is. If it's a big decision I like to gather a lot of information and understand how things work before I make my decision. Sometimes the process is uncomfortable, but I learn a lot.

Look & then Leap, but hesitate first. When in doubt, do. Unless it's something physical & you might get hurt. Only kids do that.

Mike,
Even though you lost some money, I'm not sure it wasn't worth trying for a couple of years. Now even though your motor home is cramped, you really understand why it's the best fit for you. My feeling is some lessons are well worth paying for.

Evan,
Amen to that!

Grannymar,
At the moment I envy you. Right now I'm devoting a lot of time to making some financial decisions. To put it mildly it is not my favorite way of spending my life. ;)

On the other hand, I want to know I'm making the best decision I can under the circumstances. Then in the future I won't look back.

Brighid,
I love it! (Yes, Rummuser, I do use the word "love" a lot. ;) )

Rummuser,
Good for you! I have never dived off a high board...I'm still afraid of heights. But hey, we don't have to be perfect to be lovable. At least I keep telling myself that. ;)

I had a diving coach during my school days who used to shout when I would go up to the high board. "Don't look at the water; Look up" Then would come the shout "Dive!" I would, and I still do.

Jean, I just make a decision, go for it, and live with the consequences! I seldom analyse what I am doing, it would take all day and I would never get anything done.

We bought a new 5th wheel camper before I retired. Many other people we knew or had heard about ended up "trading up" after a few years, so we decided to bypass that and get the better, bigger trailer from the beginning.

It turned out that Karen just couldn't get past the feeling that the trailer was looming over us as we down the road and that it was going to tip over on the slightest out of the ordinary slope, even though she understood that it wasn't top heavy. In addition, even though we had bought the shortest in length of that line that was available, it was still too large to take into the kinds of campgrounds we really like -- the public campgrounds in the national forests and national and state parks.

So, after owning the fifth wheel for a little less than 2 years we traded for a small motorhome, even though we were badly upside down in the loan. I knew that, if we kept the fifth wheel, we wouldn't do near as much traveling and camping as we would like to. Even though the motorhome is much more cramped than the fifth wheel, we've enjoyed our travels much more.

Even though I'm currently working on contract, we're planning our next trip.
