Thanks for clarifying. I do use the phrase, "So what else is new?" a lot. It's certainly not coming from blind optimism, but maybe it's not pessimism either. It can be trying to see life clearly and still doing what we can to push this poor old world in the direction we'd like it to go. Maybe we can't do much, but we can do something. ;) rummuser,

I do use the phrase, “So what else is new?” a lot. It’s certainly not coming from blind optimism, but maybe it’s not pessimism either.
