Getting Started
Very simply, this site is about optimizing our stress levels and becoming more stress hardy so we can enjoy life more. We'll be doing this through the blog and, as time goes on, e-pamphlets.
In the blog I'll be sharing what I'm learning and doing, and I hope you will share your ideas and experience, too. This site is evolving, and how it grows will depend on the interests of its readers.
If you would like to share your questions, concerns and successes, please e-mail me or use the comments section of the blog. Your privacy is important to me, so no e-mail address will be shared with anyone else without your permission. If you would like to leave a comment on the blog you don't have to include any information you're uncomfortable about sharing. When you log in just pick a user name that you don't mind everyone seeing. This is about trying to get a good discussion going in a safe place.
And please don't think it has to be about problems in your life. This site is about opening up our minds to new options. We're all different, so a technique that works well for one person might not work for another. The more people contributing, the more powerful this site will be.
On the other hand, if there's something you prefer to talk about privately, please send me an e-mail and we can schedule a phone call.
Why am I doing this? As you can see in the About section, this is a subject near and dear to my heart. It's something I love too much not to share. Stress is not what happens to us in life, it's our reaction to external pressures and events. So often we waste our energy and damage our health because we don't know how to do otherwise. Learning about stress hardiness and optimizing stress has made a huge difference in my life. I hope it will do the same for you. Please join me.
