About Jean Browman
Jean is a problem solver at heart. She has been teaching stress management and personal growth for the past 14 years, after years of real-life experience. Her first long-term exposure to stress came when she earned her B.S. in physics at Stanford University. In that basic training she learned problem-solving and stress-management skills that have served her well over the years.
She worked professionally as a creative problem solver, developing software for scientific research. Her favorite motto when facing deadlines then was "I'd rather be scared than bored." So she really believes that there are worse things in life than being challenged.
She wrote the following for the class book at her last Stanford reunion: "I took my final retirement from work in the fall of 1993. I'm basically a volunteer at heart--I love learning new things and sharing them with people. I've studied Myers-Briggs, the Enneagram, psychosynthesis, neurolinguistic programming, etc. and have led groups/taught classes on related topics....
Basic philosophy--stay curious and open to life. No matter what happens keep learning and growing. Find what you love to do and find a way to share it with others."
